Art Fairs are a funny business. There are those that are very well known and rated as important and a must see such as the Frieze Art Fair or the 20|21 International Art Fair and then there are those nice events like the Winter Fine Art & Antiques Fair which are known by mainly enthusiasts and insiders. Why is that? Is it only because the first ones are on modern and contemporary art and the others are on boring old stuff!? Well, I must say I find the old stuff far more interesting and appealing than the modern art and also these fairs have a lovely more intimate feel to it in comparison to the must see events.

Here the next few forthcoming fairs on boring old stuff :

Winter Fine Art & Antiques Fair, 10-16 November 2008, London Olympia

Antique & 20th Century Fair, 23 November 2008, London Alexandra Palace

Penman Fairs, various dates, across UK

Watercolours & Drawings Art Fair, 4-8 February 2009, London Covent Garden

The BADA Antiques & Fine Art Fair, 25-31 March 2009, London Duke of York Square
